"Amelie" won First Place in Artist's Magazine 28th Annual Art Competition (Portrait/Figure category) and is featured on the cover. "Ina's Umbrella" was a finalist.

I've been honored with an invitation to exhibit "Amelie" during Acopal's upcoming exhibition at the Butler Institute of American Art from December 8, 2011 - February 22, 2010.

The Butler Institute is the first museum of American art. The original structure, dedicated in 1919, is a McKim, Mead and White architectural masterpiece listed on the National Register of Historic places.

The Portrait Society of Atlanta Summer Juried Exhibition
"Autumn Nap", "The Pianist" and "Bride" were Finalists and on display at The Mable House Arts Center from June 9, 2011 - July 8, 2011 as part of the Portrait Society of Atlanta's Summer Juried Exhibition. "Autumn Nap" won Honorable Mention and "Bride" was awarded First Place. Margaret Carter Baumgaertner served as juror.

Portrait Society of America International Competition
"The Twilight Hour" won the Exceptional Merit Award.
I was also awarded Best Portfolio.
Over 1750 paintings were entered into the competition.
